Antec 900 owners with Arctic Freezer 7 Pro?

Is this true?

Pros: No backplate to worry about
has the 4 pin PWM fan control just like stock fans
fan is mounted on rubber to reduce vibration to the cpu
Did I mention No backplate?
Price (are you kidding me?... it's like half, or a third the price of a zalman)

Cons: fairly tall so might have trouble with some cases that already have a fan mounted on the side panel.
No fancy schmancy LED lighting - go buy a cathode lighting kit with the $ you save

Other Thoughts: OK, listen up. If you have an Antec Nine Hundred or another case with a similar fan/power-supply configuration this is the cooler for you. What you do is mount the freezer 7 so it blows straight up towards that huge fan at the top of the case instead of blowing out the back like you would normally.
With an E8500 OC'd from 3.16 GHz to 4.06 GHz and an Nvidia 9800gtx+ I can play every game I've tried so far on max everything with most of my case fans still set to low

I have an Antec 900 and I have installed Arctic Freezer Pro 7s before(one time in a antec 300). That review is correct. The cooler is a great budget cooler and is easy easy to install with no backplate. You can mount it facing the top or exhaust. When I had my zalman, it didn't really make a difference mounting it facing up or back.

I tried to install my freezer 7 the other day in my Antec 900 and there seemed to enough space between it and the side panel fan. However, some push pins were broken so I couldnt fit it .

Did you ever OC an E8400/8500 with it?
If so, how much?

i use my cooler master z600 with a fan right on the bottom of the fan thats blowing upwards. works like a charm. i also have one fan on the bottom of the heatsink, so its like 3 fans for the heatsink

I used AC7 on Antec 900 before. It is a good cooler. Now, you need to take a look at your board. I had a hard time to install in Abit board because the fins touched the NB. Other than that, it is a good cooler at good price.

The same thing happened with me on my motherboard (Asus P5e) but other than that, it works fine once it's on. The side fan doesn't catch on the heatsink either. I kind of wish I had gone for a different cooler due to this one being a pain to install, but it works well for the price.

I have my Arctic Freezer 7 mounted in my Antec 900 and I have a 120mm fan connected to it and the exhaust 120mm fan. I have all my fans on High because I don't hear it because of my AC running 24/7.

But, when I had them on Low, my temps didn't seem to change anything, but I'd rather have more air flowing than less.

I haven't tried mounting it towards the big fan at the top, but then again I cannot mount my 120mm fan to the cooler if I do that way.
