Fraps

I was just wondering how accurate Fraps is? I was just playing Far Cry 2 and put all the settings maxed with 2xAA and had Fraps measure my FPS for about an hour of play. There were several moments in the game when action got intense and my FPS seemed to stutter quite a bit, but when I checked my log it said my average FPS was 60, min was 26, max was 151. It just doesn't seem right to me I guess. Anybody have any experience with this program?

Its very accurate actually. It seems that even in the intense moments things didn't drop too low at 26 and when things aren't intense (your 151) you get a high rate bringing up your average.

There is something that you can type into the console for your FPS information in far cry 2 and you can run both to compare. (even though i'm not sure which one your going to believe by the end lol) but go into the console in Far Cry and type : "ShowFPS 1" (without the quotes) to turn it on and just change the 1 to a 0 to turn it back off.
