I read alot of the topic about ocing its just telling more of what not to do like not to over clock it that much and the 333/600 or something like that but can someone just tell me what i would need to do to get it to 2.8 please?

alot of factors are involved ... i would recommend reading some guides.

But the simple solution is just increase your fsb until you get the speed you want. 2.8ghz is really slow. you'll have no problem hitting that on stock volts.

Just keep eye on your temperatures, and make a stress test after overclocking. I would say, that you are able to get 3.00 GHz with stock voltages.

On my old rig I have the asus p5e with the e6600 and OC'd it to 3.6Ghz on air w/1.4V it's running about 48c.... no stress test...use it for a folding rig.
Jump that vcore up and see what happens
