[Help] cpu BSODS and comp freezezs

Well i'm back once again to call on your knowladge OCN

[Edit]: this is happening with my sig rig

on to the problom

recently in the past few days i have been getting bsods that say something

about the cpu and also random complete freezes which i think are also the

cpu this has all started happening ever sence i got a new desk and moved

everything around... now could i have shorted it some how ? i made sure the

psu was off and that the master switch on the surge protectoer was off or

could i have knocked it loose while moving it ? i tried to be as gentle as

possible XD i also use to have an over clock of 3.8 with the volts at 2.750

which i beleive is well under the 3.6 >< the load temps were 50-55c so i didnt

think it too hot everything was moved to optimized defaults atm

is there anyway to fix this or is it just dieing ? ;.;

thank you for any and all responses ^^ and sry for the long post XD

Those sorts of errors are caused by unstable CPU or RAM have you stress tested your overclock with prime95? How long were you running that overclock before you moved your stuff around?

reseat everything in the case, as it seems you might have knocked something loose while you were moving it.

geuss i'll have to try that sence i'm snowed in XD

yeah try reseating, i think its unlikely that'll help but there's no harm in ruleing it out. also try returning all clocks to stock, if the errors stop then you know you just need to up your Vcore on your current OC

P.S where abouts do you live? being snowed in sounds exciting!

Reset the CMOS. Check your heatsink and cooler, if they're inserted very well.

Right!

Run HWMonitor and do some stuff on the computer while monitoring your CPU temps. I think you may have loosened the Heatsink off the CPU especially if the heatsink is a pin loaded device. I coudn't beleive how easy they got loose even when I was still installing my new 780i MOBO.

Also make sure that your video card was not yanked out a bit (by reseating it) when you were removing the video cable.
