GIGABYTE X58 utilities not installing

Thread Starter
I have been trying to install this Easy Tune utility and Energy Saver software for my Extreme X58 M/B for a good week or so now. I have contacted Gigabytes' support and they have been of little to no help, telling me to disable the startup options on ALL of the installed Gigabyte software.

The Error I am getting is at startup and every time I try to manually start the program, which is " GUI MFC Application has stopped working ". I have tried to install both the version that comes with the driver disc and the "updated" version that is available by download on their site. Here's a picture of the error.

I have also tried to install their "Dynamic Energy Saver" utility as well from both the driver disc and the downloaded version from their site. Both of which give the same error message that says " Please update the latest Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced utility from GIGABYTE website for the advanced." / with a big OK button that will just close that message box.

I would like to use this program to baby step my OC for this machine, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. Any help?

have you tried to run in compatability mode? (right click, properties, etc..) xp sp2?

That's all I can think of, unless they have 64 bit utilities, and you installed the 32 by accident...

Welp, I have the same issue. I've concluded this board is utter poop. I will be sending this POS back to newegg. It took me 5hrs tonight to just restart b/c of a looping 88 error. My first and LAST gigabyte.

LOL NCSpec....you're not patient enough, bro.

I haven't had any problems like that with mine (I did get the looping reboot a few times, but I just powered down and it cleared)

I'm on bios F4k and so far it's been pretty good.

I do get the GUI MFC error, though.

Gigabyte's coming fast and hard with the bios updates, which is a good thing as they're actively working to iron out the wrinkles.

Of course, I haven't been able to really overclock yet as I'm still on stock cooling waiting for some stuff to arrive to finish my build.
