Nop, just a different BIOS. You can flash a 8800GT to a quadro card and save lots of money.

They focus on accuracy, not speed.

The problem ended up being driver related. Apparently the 180.xx drivers and 8000 series gpu's in SLI don't cooperate yet.

..Interesting.. I have the 180.60's running SLi on my 2x GS's just fine..even at screaming OC.

I think it's 180.48 which everyone is having issues with.

I also had issues with 180.84. I haven't tried 180.60 though.

i have had the best SLi scores so far, using the 180.60's..gained a few hundred points over the 177.92's.

I have only run my Q6600 @ 3.6ghz so far, with the SLI setup [FSB issues] but managed a 18, 640 point run on 3D '06. I have been testing today, with my E7400 @ 4.3ghz..tuning for '01 and '03 runs. ....all that aside..the drivers definitely get my approval.

Hmm. I'll have to try them out later on. Thanks for the info.

To bad it is not a gaming card, that would give you the same performance as a lower 8800 man.

Any SLI scores yet with the new drivers?
