wow. and looking at your specs I'm getting a very nice OC vs. yours. You might want to check back on your settings. Mine does 3.4ghz @ 1.400v and it's very stable on air.

Sigh everyone missed the ram voltage.

On msn with him atm to tweak.

And its a 680i not a 780i two different chipsets two different guides what works for one wont work for all these are rough settings to get to xp then fine tune them yourself.

Hate to be a terror but the mcp is the southbridge, the spp is the northbridge look it up, dont worry loads of people have made that mistake.

If its 1066mhz ram then the timings will most likley be 5-5-5-15 with the ram around 2.0~2.2v

Each chip is different even two of the same chips, additionally my VID is the worst at 1.3250v.

Same chipset; it is basically a 680i with some minor tweaks and PCIe 2.0 support and some cool heatsinks designed by Coolermaster.

To overclock the Q6600, you don't need a new MOBO, that would be overkill. Save the money for a new system when you decide to go i7!

just so you know, 680i boards aren't known for their overclocking ability, not a great chipset for overclocking
