Seagate 500GB + WD 300GB

Hi just got my new 500gb yesturday and im not sure what raid to setup as.
I need more space atm because my WD(300GB) Is full. But when i go to mycomputer only the 300GB shows up not the 500GB.

Do I have to set it up in RAID first before it'll show up? ;If so will i lose my data on the 300GB?

You need to format the new drive.

Why would you run RAID on two drives of different sizes?
