Prelude Crackling

Hey, I'm having sound issues with my prelude I keep getting the pop/crackle sounds whenever i play music (ENT Mode). I Have the latest drivers installed RC8. Any Ideas?

I have the onboard sound disabled in BIOS. Uninstalled before i disabled it in BIOS.

I don't think i can update my BIOS its a stock HP motherboard tried looking for a way to update it last year no luck

Are you moving the plugs at all?, I know my sound crackles some when the wires are being messed with. Then again I do have 3 young kids that love to wiggle wires, sometimes rip them out or break them..

Ok, moved the fan & moved the card to a diff pci slot. It's alittle bit better but i still get some crackling. (When you pay over 150+ you except these things to work...)

It might also be vista, im having problems as well with vista. Like all the sudden my sound card doesnt work, and i have to restart the computer for it to work again.
