Another 8800GT vmod

So, lately I got bored and frustrated that my BFG 88 would only reach 740/1800 on stock voltages so I decided to give it a go with a vmod that CLP did. First off all I did try that vmod solderless but I was just unable to put that wire with enough pressure to hold in one place so my solder gun was on the spot. Here is some pics after all was finished. My stock vcore was 1.13. This card already has been vmod. I did mod for BIOS and flash the card to 700/1750. Stock clocks were 625/1562ish.

1.206 700 core | 1904 shader

1.25 vcore 801 core 1950 shader

1.3 vcore 829 core 1950 shader

1.3 vcore 811 core 2003 shader| This is where I stoped.

I am now testing to lower vcore down to find lowest possible vcore for 811/2003 oclock.

Here is some pics about vmod.

Any opinion or advice what should I do better than I did are welcome.

I know I have to do some cable management

Looks good so far. Nice job! I think your temps are great for having the core voltage up so much..if you can keep temps there..you should be able to hit the 2052 or 2106mhz shader straps, stable.

*If your gaming, make sure to test with AA and AF, as it stresses the core. You might need a bit more GPUv to hold it stable with Q settings enabled for gaming at those clocks.

Awesome, I plan to learn all about that kind of stuff. voltmodding is a big mistery for me as i am just starting to get into OCing.

I really don't know how to startb with such things, are there some sorts of schematics. or are you an engineer :S that would explain alot

if someone could also tell me the steps how this begins than plz do share them
I find it all pretty cool and interesting and hope one day to make it my profesion(al hobby)
