help me with case for i7 build - HAF932/CM 690/Antec 1200

Thread Starter
Hey everyone, having a hard time picking a case for an i7 build. HELP!!
Here are the specs of my build.

i7 920 OC'd to 4.0 Ghz
asus p6t deluxe
12GB ddr3 1600
gtx 280
4 hd in raid 10
dvd burner

Cases I like with downsides:

Silverstone Fortress FT01
- not as good gpu cooling
- dust filter under psu and top case fan seem impossible to clean
- $$$$

Coolermaster HAF 932
- might be loud?
- no dust filters (don't want to have to clean fans weekly)

Coolermaster 690

Antec 1200

Looking for the best airflow without being overly loud...and b/c of the airflow don't want to be dealing with lots of stuck fans due to dust build up. Any suggest? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

I personally would go with the HAF, but i love my 690 too. Good luck.

haf is great. the lack of dust filters are only bad if you replaced all the fans with 120mm 110 cfm scythes. With the normal fans not much dust gathers in the case.

I think I would choose the HAF 932, and probably replace the side panel 230mm fan with four 120mm.

Those 230mm fans are supposed to be really quiet. They went with big fans so that it could move lots of air at a low rmp.

The HAF fans are really quiet. My PSU fan is the loudest component in my case. BUt the HAF has awesome cable management, lots of space, tool-less installation of hard drives and optical drives, even PCI(-E) cards (as in GPU, sound card, etc). Also many people say the side panels are flimsy, they are not at all. The only downside for this case is no fan filters and the inside should have been painted black. Other than that this case is sweet

The cm 690 is a great case, it is pretty big for a mid tower so there is plenty of room. I think I would rather have the haf though, because it is also cool, but it wasn't out yet when I built my pc in august. Go with the haf!

I have an Antec 1200 for my i7 build and so far I love this case. It has tons of fans, which keeps my system cool, plenty of space for my everything, and the black finish on the inside looks sexy lol.
