3/8" to 1/2" adapters in nz??

Thread Starter
like the title says, anyoone know where to get 3/8" to 1/2" adapters in nz??
or somewhere that ships to nz cheapish?

i have bought a 3/8" rad with welded on barbs but all the other parts i am getting are 1/2" so i need a way to convert the 3/8" rad to a 1/2 rad.

Thanks

I don't think there is adapter for it. But you can always DIY.

Slide a piece of 3/8x1/2" on the barb, then slide your 1/2x3/4" over it and clamp it good, works fine I've done it a few times myself.

Sorry no pic's. Just cut a little short piece of your 3/8x1/2" tubing so it fits behind the barbed part on the 3/8" barb, then your 1/2" ID tubing will slide right over that, clamp it down good with a worm drive clamp and your set.

In other words all that the 3/8x1/2" piece of tubing you put on the barb first is doing is just acting as a spacer. Its OD is 1/2", your 1/2x3/4" tubings ID is 1/2", see what I mean?

Gimp is awesome.

If you don't plan to actually match the fitting, might as well cut the barbs and weld in a new barb of your choice.
