need help oc'ing s2180

i want to oc it until i get a quad
i would like about 2.8-3.0
mobo-680i LT

i had it at 2.8 with vcore at 1.306 i think about 6weeks ago but it kept crashing in orthos after about 5-7hours sometimes after like 2hours

right now its at stock speeds so tell me what to do... im a noob at oc

You can give more volts to that cpu. 1.325 to 1.35 is ok even with the stock cooler.

Try by increasing the RAM voltage.

mate, crank the vcore up to 1.45v & then up the FSB....

my 2180 requires serious voltage to get to 3.2ghz, but it sits there happily....& stable....

these chips need power to get them moving...

right now i have it at 2.8 with 1.3062 vcore and nb is at 1.3v and it was running all day about 4hours in orthos and the rest of the day it was just lightly used so about 10 hours uptime

any suggestions ... im gonna leave orthos running over night and if its still on when i wake up it should be a stable oc ... right?

I just finished OC'ing an e2180 @ 3.2ghz.

These are my settings:

I know we have different motherboards, but these settings could be a good start:

These settings gave me 3.2ghz on that e2180 badboy, except I needed to bump up the vcore by one setting to get it perfectly stable.

It's a great place to start.
