My new custom WC setup :)

Thread Starter
Been wanting to do this for at least 2 years now and I finally bought myself a nice slew of parts for
my birthday this year. Right now it is just a CPU cooler, but will probably do the graphics card
sometime down the road.

Parts I used:
-Swiftech Apogee GTZ CPU Block
-Swiftech MicroRes2
-HW Labs GTX 240 Radiator
-Scythe Slip-Stream 110CFM Fans
-Liang D4 Pump
-Danger Den Fillport, 1/2in ID Masterkleer Tubing, Herbie Clips
-PT Nuke, Pentosin Blue Additive

Here are some pictures of before and after....(I know...they are probably too big)

Before

After

With my previous setup (big typhoon and a Q6600 cpu speed of 3.2 GHz), my idle was 41C and my
load was 62C, but I don't have any pictures of that. After getting the new WC setup working and
bled of air, I set my Q6600 to 3.6 GHz at a VCore of 1.44V and did some more tests.

RealTemp (which is what I used before get my cpu temps) now shows a idle temperature of 22C
and a load temperature of 38C using OCCT. I let the temperature rise until it stopped rising, then
let it sit for 3 more minutes just to be sure.

Idle

Load

All I can really say is that I am extremely impressed with how this system functions. I even
increased the VCore to 1.53 and the cpu speed to 3.8 GHz (my processor wouldn't allow anymore),
and the idle didn't change at all. I'm sure that this setup is overkill for what I am using it for, but I
don't even care.

Very nicely done. Thumb:

I like the T-line that you used, and how the HDD's can sit up in the top of the case thereby leaving ample space at the bottom for the pump and radiator.

Congratulations.

P.S. Nice positioning of the reservoir for viewing fluid level while the side-panel is on.

Great job, it is not too often I see a well built loop like that. I bet you love it and will never go back to air.

Looks really nice now hide the wires and it will be sweet, it's pretty easy with that case because I have almost the same one.
