Have you tried to let the installer go, until you get somewhere you can cancel it?

if its an installer, then yeah take out the cd. if its a boot menu, look for the option labelled windows (usually default), select it, and press enter, or type 'windows'

another way is to shove in your windows cd/dvd and use the recovery console to reinstall your windows info into the mbr and that should negate any linux stuffs left in there.

Wait....wat? If you have not wiped out windows, just pop in the windows disk and choose "repair my computer" which should straighten out your boot sector.

Its not the installer, Its not the boot menu either.

This is what happens when I restart my PC

1:Regular loading of things
2:Black screen which reads "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key
3: Then I press F8 (only key that does anything) and it starts loading some sort of linux loader.
4: Then I get a screen that says at the top "Linuxrc v3.3.22 (Kernel 2.6.27.7-9-default) <<<

Below it says "Make sure that your CD number 1 is in your drive" etc etc

Then basically I have the choices of, Put in Linux cd or Restart my pc.

I am not entirely sure if I will be able to find my windows cd... but I will look.

I didn't mean to start the install in windows, it was supposed to be through VMWare.

So change first boot device in BIOS to the optical drive and put your windows disk in.....

If I can find the disc I will, if I cannot then

Well thanks everyone, I guess my only choice is to find the windows disc. There really is no option or command to cancel the Linux install?
