And thats a dual core. I remember seeing an E8xxx series at 6.3GHz too, but then again that is a dual core also. Don't the Q9770 max out around 5.7GHz?

Either way 6GHz+ for multiple runs for 2 different teams is an amazing start, especially compared the the Phenom I start

Totally agree a pentium at 8ghz... Its dualcore
just for fun i know that you can't say this but...
8x2 = 16
6x4 = 24

Also the phenom 2 is much faster clock per clock

This is amazing AMD are really looking at the overclocking market with the new phenom 2. But you can't but worry that AMD are in such a bad position right now with capital funds.

It's nice to see they are still producing high end chip
