That may be a joke, but if you're serious... no you won't. I personally reach into LN2 with bare hands to pluck out eppendorf tubes all the time. It's not something you'd leave your hand in obviously but for a brief period of time like a spill hitting you, you'd be fine 99% of the time.

Fool! Don't lose your pinky.

[QOUTE=] Yeah AMD chips increase voltage under load, so they must be a lot tougher. Intel however, decreases under load (the horrid vdroop you might have heard about, can cause issues with sensitive clocks.) You might have also noticed AMD's voltages are a tad higher to begin with. [/QOUTE]

I didn't know that this was the correlation. Why in the world would the Intel chips decrease their voltage underload? What kind of production method does intel have anyway?

I believe Vdroop has more to do with the mobo rather than the CPU

I've seen voltage lower when the Intel CPU is on idle and raises some under load. Only VDROOP I noticed is it being different than what is set in the BIOS.

1. They have not hit 10 GHz.
2. The 3.9 GHz Phenom II is enough to beat out the performance of a record P4 at about 8 GHz. ( http://www.nordichardware.com/news,5505.html ) There are other records but I cannot find a suitable source for anything over 8 GHz, and I know for a fact anything over 8.5 didn't happen.
3. The claim has a minute amount of credibility but it's there, they we're talking about Nehalem, not Netburst. Record for i7 965 is about 5.51 GHz iirc. The performance differences escape me, but seeing as how Phenom II and i7 are so neck-and-neck clock-for-clock wise, I'd say the 6+ GHz Phenom II wins.

but at least there is some competition intel prices will go down a little in response to amd's phenom II
1.35v is STOCK VOLTAGE HAHAHAHHAH.

Now since you know almost next to nothing on these chips, why don't you go sit in the corner over there until they are released.

Damn, I really want to upgrade this Christmas, but the only real option for me is either to wait till next year for the Phenom II or just go for the i7.

Err, It wasn't a few seconds, it ran through the Crysis Benchmark a few times....
