Asus P5E X38
Asus P5E Deluxe

Gigabyte EP45 UD3P
Asus P5Q Pro

it would be best if you give a budget though

id totally grab the biostar tpower i45.

x38s/x48s have much better crossfire scaling (the scaling is huge in crysis), however if you dont really care for the scalability in crysis, id get the biostar tpower i45, its in the record of most FSB achieved .

IMHO stay away from Biostar. I had one a long time ago and was the biggest POS I ever owned. They may have come a long way from there, but they are still budget boards. My vote goes out to the same board I have UD3P. I am not sure what the record is but the UD3P hit 670fsb and benchmark stable. It has also taken many many many quad core past 500FSB. Oh and it holds the world record for the highest OC's DDR2 RAM.

The ga-ep45-ud3p would be a good choice although I believe you would be running both slots at x8 for crossfire mode. As far as overclocking goes the ud3p appears to be one of the best right now according to some very reputable members on this site. You can crank up the FSB on this board seriously high!

GA-EP45-UD3P

The x38/x48 chipsets will have full x16 support for both slots in crossfire.
I can vouch that the x38 is no slouch when it comes to overclocking it's currently running my E8400 at 4.0ghz and I saw a review or two on newegg saying they got their q6600's to 3.4ghz on it. You will not be able to jack up the fsb nearly to the levels you would be able to with the UD3P.

DF DK X38 T2RB

Goodluck

Edit: I'm assuming you will be buying another 4870 correct or planning on it?

Biostar mobo's are considered low grade budget boards.

Check out the Gigabyte UD3P threads here & at xtremesystems.
