It did outperform HD4870 X2 in almost all cases.

Looks like a very promising card from the green team. I doubt they'd kick themselves in the foot this time around and price it ridiculously higher than the 4870 X2; if they want it to sell more than its rival.

The price of this video card will be only $499 which is the same as HD4870 X2

Though ATI might drop the price when GTX 295 comes out

This card rocks the X2. However, I think driver support will be HORRID as with their other sandwich cards (although its a sandwich... on a stick, so to speak). I honestly would NOT buy one because of nVidias reputation of utter lack of support for their previous X2 cards, like the 7950X2 and the 9800X2 (not 100% if those are the correct models, pls correct me if im wrong). While it gives the 4870X2 a thorough beating, the support just won't be there....

Looks like nVidia has a possible contender for most powerful card. Most benchies I have seen have been margionally better than the 4870X2. I really done think that a 5-10 FPS higher rating is anything to brag about. WE all know nVidia's past history with dual GPU cards....
X2 Hotness!!
