Looks pretty. Graphic cards are designed to run pretty hot, it'll be fine at stock settings.

You know, if they can cut such a huge hole in the cards with no effect on performance, why couldn't they make the original card smaller? Where did all the circuitry that used to be there go?

Its because of the fan. The fan is in the middle and intakes air from those holes.

I know about the fan, I was just trying to figure out where everything that used to be in that spot went. And if they were able to so easily cut out a few square inches, why they didn't make the original single pcb version into a shorter card.

Wow.. Ok.. So they Quickly just take two cards.. sli them into one pcie slot and call it x2... I guess if it saves room... But they definitely need a few die shrinks and a good design for air cooling
