Wha...

I knew that it was basically just SLI, but I didn't think it was LITERALLY SLI...two cards and a SLI connector. Seriously? I thought they had some kinda PCB connecting them...

designing with a higher component density is more expensive. they only do it when necessary.

so, is this card sli-able even though the two cards are currently sli'd? Basically can u sli two sli'd cards. Nvidia brought this confusion upon themselves.

We'll they've actually done this for sometime now: for the dual gpu cards in sli they just call it "quad-sli." for the track record so-far in terms of performace/price, it just isn't worth it unless you are a rich-boy.

Way more then I can afford to spend, that's for sure. I'd be happy with a 9800GT lol. I've owned an 8800GT before and it was plenty for me. I've always heard of issues with these dual pcb solutions, stuttering etc...

Well we'll see how it does when it hits the market I guess.

I have no idea about other "x2" type cards. but if they are littely connected like a normal SLI setup, then i wonder how this card will peform better if there's no support for it.

Ive heard people complain about their crossfire / sli setup not being used properly because either the game or drivers didn't support this.

Dunno, either i'm being dumb or this stuff is confusing me alot
