Prime95 question

Thread Starter
If overclocking and I run Prime95 the #2 worker stops. If I set the cpu back to stock speeds and run P95 it will not stop. My question, is this a weak core on the cpu and how might it effect normal run programs while overclocked?

I was testing 9x355 when this shot was taken on my Q6600 (B3)

It means your overclock is not stable. Normal programs will possibly crash or produce errors, depending on the situation and load.

You probably need to increase vcore.

Why would three of these core handle 8 hours of P95 and one core (the same core everytime) fail after 20 minutes. Everything else being the same for all the cores. Seems to me core # 2 is weaker than the others. Has anyone else experienced this while running P95, is this normal for a four core cpu when overclocking becomes unstable? Was hoping for a more technical explanation as to why this happens.
