I Need an Honest Opinion - Page 2

Throw it in a P182 and fill it with Noctuas. Then they'll let you keep the thread in this forum.

Do I read correctly? 4870X2 Crossfire? You're getting TWO 4870X2's??

If you want my advice, save yourself $700 on the spot and just get a single 4870 512mb. It'll be more than adequate for the next 6 months. Then when the RV770's come out, you can get yourself a shiny HD 5870. Paying so much for the bleedingest-bleeding edge seems silly to me, when the next best thing is getting towards the end of its R&D cycle.

i understand what you mean. but i have only had my current pc 2 years and 4 months. it's just that i was taking it foregranted just how good my machine is for it's age and specs. to my shock i found i am in desperate need of an upgrade. i just don't want that to happen to me again. i want a system that will be stable and require no further upgrades for at least another 2/3 years. your advice is however very much appreciated.

yo acreo is right man i reccomend a corsair hx1000 at least instead of pumpin out that much money for a Tt 1200w...

its cheaper, not only that but corsair underates their PSUs, plus the hx1000 is completely modular and supports tri sli (8 pin cards), skulltrail (meaning it has up to 2 cpu power cables, they are an 8 phase connector that splits into a p4 connector, also the 8 pin gpu connectors will split off 2 pins to make a 6 pin gpu connector)

trust me the hx1000 is amazing, and will be future proof for quite a long time, i have one myself

i only use the main cables that are not modular (p4/p8 cpu connector, 24 pin mainboard connector, and in the main cables, there are 2 8pin/6pin gpu cables)

yeah the only modular cables i have are 1 molex cable and 1 sata cable =D

imho corsair hx1000 is teh best psu u could possibly get for under $400, but thats my opinion
