^^ i think so, either way it will benefit highly from that OC you have on your Q9550. Crysis LOVES overclocks.

I didn't know that Flatliner, thanks for the info.. I've was playing Crysis on my old socket 939 Opteron 180 with a 8800GTX before this build and i had to run everything on medium settings.!!! At the time i thought what the hell, i thought i was doing good with my system running a dual core?? Guess not, i'm going to give it a go with the quad and see what happens, as you said Crysis loves overclocks..

Best Regards,

I can say from expereince here:

My CPU's:

Q6600 B3 @ 3.33Ghz
Q6700 G0 @ 3.6Ghz
(Now) E8600 @ 4.33Ghz
(Soon) QX9650 @ 4.0Ghz

I can safely say that games do benefit from higher clocks & higher FSB's... HOWEVER, anything over 3.6Ghz doesn't seem to come into play with games. I mean with my E8600 @ 4.33Ghz, it is no faster than my Q6700 @ 3.6Ghz in games, this was when I had 2 GTX280's. In fact its slower in windows which is why Im getting another quad.

All this talk about a 4Ghz Dual killing a 3.6Ghz quad in games is a load of trash talk
