Unusual readings from Speedfan (low fan speed)

Thread Starter
I just got my new computer and everything is running ok but I'm getting weird readings from Speedfan ...

http://img185.imageshack.us/my.php?i...8634372pu5.png

It says only 858 rpm for the fan speed which sounds ridiculously low...my BIOS also reports this low fan speed.

This is my system:

Core 2 Duo E8400
Gigabyte EP45 mainboard
4 gigs of DDR2 800 RAM
9800 GTX graphics card
500w pc power & cooling psu (35A on 12v)

I haven't had any problems thus far, but I've only had the system for about a week and I just downloaded speed fan and got these results so Im a bit worried.

Also, when I purchased my PSU, the 9800 gtx product description on newegg said I only need a minimum of a 500w psu with 24A on the 12v rail, and my PSU has 35A on it so I thought I might be safe, but I dont know if that's what's screwing with the fan speed ...

As you can also see the voltages supplied seem waaay off.

The incorrect voltages are because speedfan is looking at the wrong sensors/ reading the sensors incorrectly... try Everest. It's generally more accurate.

The low fan speed might be due to a bad sensor/bios throttling the fan. Again, check it against what Everest says.

You can find everest here

Also check the PC health monitor section in BIOS about the fan speed. Make the fan speed 100% if it is already not.

Don't trust speedfan for voltage readings or fan speeds. According to speedfan, my "Sys Fan" is at 675,000 rpm, so I don't really trust it anymore.
