I have a 2 Mbps connection. In the past 24 hours, its been worse than a dial up connection. Damm those sailors or who ever that is responsible for this. I hope its restored soon. I feel like i am crippled .

My bad, my last post was from February, the LAST time something like this happened. Didn't realize that the Middle East had lost it's internet connection AGAIN.

Well we are are telling stories....

I heard of some Philipino ex-fisher men who got a license to recover old copper wire trunk lines from SpongeBob land. Wire is wire right? Before you could say DOS attack he had ripped up miles of the fiber that, among other things, connected Japan to much of the world.
Bet he was pissed when he found out fiber is not worth nearly as much as copper

This is the closest I could find. Darn funny too: vietnams-submarine-cable-lost-and-found/

It should go without saying that fixing a fiberoptic cable at the bottom of the sea isn't as easy as swapping one strand of CAT5 for another under your desk
