Major pet peeve of mine - this comment means nothing unless you specify if you're talking about 2x1GB kits or 2x2GB kits. Their 2x1GB double sided kits are good (Micron D9GMH IC's) and their single sided 2x1GB kits (Micron D9HNL) aren't so good as many users have had them die. If you're talking about a 2x2GB kit, they use the same junk IC's as the single sided 2x1GB kits, but are obviously doubled sided since they're twice the storage. So double sided 2x2GB kits are just as bad as a single sided 2x1Gb kit. I have seen so many confused people thinking their double sided 2x2GB kit has the good IC's because sooo many people give the double sided = good pitch without specifying that they're talking about the 2x1GB kits. /pet peeve rant

Furthermore, does anyone know if Ballistix are still using the same carp D9HNL? It's been months since everyone wrote them off, I bet they're using something else now, might be decent again.

Neither OC as well as the older double sided ones did.
There was never an issue with the 2gb sticks, just the 1 gb ones.

I have 4 Sticks of the "new" 2.0 v stuff that has been working fine for about 6 months now, 2 of them for 24/7 for almost 3 months straight on a folding rig. Nothing wrong with them.

That is an amazing price for 4 gigs. Memory just keeps getting cheaper. I can't hardly give it away anymore (I have so much extra laying around I literally have given some away to family).
I'll take 2x2GB please

I've only heard of the old single sided sets dying. I've never heard of the double-sided ones dying. But thanks for clarifying.

I owned a doubled sided Ballistix 2x1GB kit that died after about a year of use. They spent most of their life at only 2.1v and maybe a couple months at 2.2v. So it's not just the single sided Ballistix sticks that die. I RMAed them and got another doubled sided 2x1GB kit that I run at 2.0v and haven't had a problem with them. By the way I own the Ballistix 4GB kit from this deal and they are great. I run those at 2.0v as well.
