Can't get this E7200 OC stable...

Thread Starter
I've read around and see people saying they hit 3.6ghz/3.8ghz with 1.15 vcore and stuff...

Well I'm at about 1.4 and I can't even get it stable with 3.6ghz (400x9).
I have speedstep...etc disabled. Temps are fine, roughly 33-34 idle. But when I run Orthos, it doesn't even last 2 seconds before I get an error.

I was formerly at 3.2ghz with 1.344v and stable, but I wanted to push it a little more and see as how people say the E7200 should hit ~3.4ghz no problem with stock or lower, I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong here.

I've included pictures below. Could anyone shed some light on why I can't get it stable with so much voltage?

Oh, and IF I DO need more voltage, is it safe? I've heard ppl say "dont go pass 1.4"...

I wouldnt go any higher than 1.368vcore. Have you tested to see if you RAM could be the problem. I was able to get 3.8ghz on my e7200/P35-DS3l and all i had to do was increase vcore to 1.29volts.

I haven't yet but if it's stable at 3.2ghz with 1.344v, u think it can still be the ram? I'm just wondering why I need so much voltage...

If someone get anything over 3ghz stabe at 1.14 they got extremely lucky. I am at 1.29v and i can't go past 3.8 without errors and hard freezes, but at 1.29 i am rock solid for 72hours of prime

ah .. its cos you got 3GB of RAM , if you got 1gb 1gb 512mb 512mb take 2 512's out and leeve the 2 gigs in , when i had 3 gig of ram i could not clock past 2.6Ghz now with 2 i can get 3.18Ghz (but thats E4500). 3GB is unusual memory layout your better off with 2 gigs.
