HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareTHQ

Once you are at THQ, just click on Stalker SoC, and the CD Key will be displayed on the right pane of regedit.

Once you have the key, uninstall the Steam version of the game, and obtain the disc image for the retail version of the game, and just install it with your legally purchased key.

I can confirm this works.

Damn you have issues. Every thread I read it has you talking about how you use steam to get games, but your still against it? So basically your supporting something you hate when you buy games off of it... hope you realize that.

As for Stalker, it's definitely worth $5.

no problem, I would suggest playing the game for a while without it first, it ramps up the difficulty even on easy although it really is a good mod.

Another great thing about buying it now is the fact that almost 100% of the bugs have been worked out that plagued gameplay for months after release

It's not that bad. Was £3.50 on the weekend so I grabbed myself a copy.

Bought it as well. I have to say--running in this game makes me nauseous... So much up and down motion it's disorienting. So much that I can't really stand to play it. So I guess for five bucks, meh...

That's what I thought at first but then I kinda got used to it. I went on CS:S after and was expecting the screen to start doing moving as I walked
