Q6600 or E8500

I'm building a computer for a friend and he is going to do graphics on the computer, like Photoshop and digital design type things. Not any major gaming though. I have a motherboard chosen but I am still deciding between the Q6600 or the E8500. Which one should I get for him?

photoshop is quad-core optimized out of the gate, has been for at least a year...if I recall correctly.

Definitely Q6600. Best for Audio/Video work plus would be good for games.
