When was that? 5 years ago? The USD has been weak for a LONG time and is still weak, so buying from Steam was cheaper than buying in stores for us: we didn't have to pay tax, and the USD->whatever conversion resulted in cheap prices.
We didn't pay more, we paid less. I don't see your logic.
Prices have increased now that Steam assumes 1 USD = 1 EUR instead of 1 USD = 0.7 EUR or whatever it was at the time.
You missed what I was getting at, not what you are trying to get at. Im just saying that it will cost more in the long run to run a bunch of servers than it will be to pay shipping charges, or in there case for left for dead, making discs and all that good stuff.
That doesn't seem to have ANYTHING AT ALL to do with what you said. You just said that we can now purchase in our own currency.
(which we were, effectively, already doing (conversion)... the only change is that prices have increased)
