Cannot figure out this problem

Thread Starter
Hi guys, I have managed to overclock my e8400 to 3.9ghz. The problem is that it keeps getting stuck after like 4-6 hours. And the weird thing is that it gets stuck EVEN when I'm just watching on youtube. I was keep checking my cpu usage, my cpu temperature, and the cpu usage was hardly 4% and the temp was around 38C.

So what I'm trying to figure out is that I am not even doing anything extreme and it still gets stuck. Btw I already ran software like orthos and ran for around 6 hours 2 weeks ago when I OCed it. I have also used memtest and it passed as well.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Actually, 3.9GHz is getting up there for an E8400...
Test with prime95 for 8-10hours Blend (make sure to enable error checking) and get back to us...

If everything seems stable and within decent thermal specifications, my guess would be that you corrupted something in your OS while attempting to find your maximum OC... run dskchk
