Ok, I've currently running at 4*333=1333 FSB.

But, i cannot increase the FSB anymore. Not by increasing voltage, loosening timings etc etc.

They say that the board supports upto 1600MHz[o.c.]

What to do?

I used the same mobo which I was able to overclock GSkill ddr2-800 ram to 1066mhz along with a E2160 cpu. This was a build that I did a few months ago. Perhaps it's your ram that's holding you back.

I dont see how the RAM could be holding him back unless the divider is set too high. OP, are you running 1:1? Make sure you are and that E7200 should do 400 no sweat as long as you up the Vcore a little. You may need to if you want to run 400fsb on a E7200.

They're full of it. The G31 northbridge just won't go past 333 FSB, no matter what.

You can buy a new motherboard. I've seen G31 chipset boards from a variety of manufacturers and none of them will exceed about 340 FSB or so. If the chip really could do 400 FSB, then they would list the QX9770 as a supported CPU. They don't.

Well, buying a new mobo is kinda expensive. They've mentioned 1600 F.S.B. There should be a way to get there.

Yes, you can buy a different motherboard. I don't know why they mention it, since the chipset simply WILL NOT DO IT.

I'm going to have to agree with error10, your motherboard simply won't allow you to OC any further. If you want to OC more, you will need a new motherboard, such as a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P, which will support Crossfire and allow you to get 500MHZ FSB if not more.

Should I wait for a BIOS update?
