HDMI over CAT6 - Working @1080p *PICS* - Page 2

This thread title is quite misleading as there are no pics available at the moment. I've subscribed anyway though as this does sound quite interesting.

The_Rocker is absolutely correct. Cat6 capble is rated up to 10 Gbps, while Cat5e is good up to 1 Gbps. Please post correct information if you are going to come in and try to correct someone.

Thanks for pointing this out, I was undecided what to call this thread, is there a way I can change the title to make it more accurate

Well .. As I read I see 19 pins, so you will need like 3 CAT6 cables.

I have done S-Video + Audio over CAT5e (little more than 15 meters without problems), but HDMI will be a lot harder.

All I have at the moment is a pic of the hardware and about 200m of CAT6 cable neatly layed on the floor ready to be layed in the morning.

I can post these if you would like

Do all of those Staples cat6 packages lie to me?
Edit: went and read wikipedia, cat6 can potentially do 10g over short distances while unshielded but conforms to the gigabit standard 1g. We're talking about two sides of the same coin.
