yeah there is no room to put in a fan. well there is one part but its not very efficent.

I think i'll do the 1TB on the sonata II (24/7 server) computer since it will most likely be cooler and raid-5 the 4-320s in the antec 900 (main computer)

Well the data on your server should be backed up to dvd anyhow so if you lose anything you can always get it back. What kinda files is it going to serve up? Tv, ftp and that sort? I should get one of them music wireless boxes as I got like over 6500 flac cds all full quality files. As you know the a900 will do you good and tommorow I go and get four new, more cfm, fans to put in to mine. I am going to take off the front grills and just put in wire fan shields as finger don't go anywhere near the front of my machine since it is sideways to my view.

I would say the 320's would be cheaper in the long run as well as the obvious ability for redundancy. However if they are SCSI drive then you can daisy chain them and do a RAID 0 if you don't need redundancy and get extremely fast hard drive speeds.

There is also the problem of more noise with the more hard drives you have however.

???

The Heat is the problem i was thinking about i know 4x320 is better then 1x1TB

and i'm not buying 4 1TB drives. i would if they were 50 bucks each, but alas they arent.

Do you guys think that the 4x320s will create a lot of heat/noise compared to a 1TB green HD. This PC will be where i sleep, so noise is somewhat of a factor.
I have had my pc beside my bed for a few years now and one of my fans are louder than the three drives I got, so I don't think there will be any noise problems for you. I can't wait until my bedroom is not also my living room and computer room. I am going to be moving into my own place soon enough.

I have my desktop (specs below) and a server rack by my bed (on either end), my room sounds like a jetway, so I think you can deal with a few random HD clicks, so your probably fine with 4. You can get OEM 1TB drives for 99, so get 2 of them . Heat wont really be an issue, but may I suggest fans?

For the record I have never gone RAID, when I was idk like 10 my mom had a machine built for me what was RAID, anyway, one of the drives crashed and I lost like 4 years of my life.

So now I have about a dozen of 1TB drives floating around the house and city with backups of my working files, haha.

Speaking of raids, I should probably go raid5+1 to where all my drives are striped, safe if one fails, and can be added onto. I think thats the one I want, haha.
