I used to play quake 3 for hours back in the day but I don't know why if I try it now I get sick in no time Oo But games enough so I just don't play it anymore.

What I've heard is that people get sick and dizzy if they play games where there is no crosshair. Like Far Cry 2 it doesn't have a crosshair if you don't update it and I heard a lot of people get sick just because they don't have a point to focus on. (That happens subconsiously) So maybe it could be that for you, I personally don't have a problem with that, it varies from person to person.

i agree with this. when i went from my 19" monitor @ 70 ms to my 22" @ 60ms refresh rate i got a eye ache withing 30 minutes.. i got used to it though
