Try gpu-z and see if crossfire is on. That score sounds like just a single 4850

Yeah I just checked Crossfire is on and I have 8.12 installed fine I doubt they are the problem. However there is one odd thing id like to note. The 8.12 Drivers I downloaded from ATI don't work with the HD4850X2 so I had to download the 8.12 drivers from Sapphire. I doubt that has anything different, just more support for this card. By the way, if it makes a difference, I'm doing all this in Vista 32-bit (not 64-bit).

By the way, because my motherboard is running an X2 card does that mean my slot is running at x8 1.0 rather than x16 1.0? If so then it's understandable why I'm running so slow and I definitely need a new PCI-Express x16 2.0 motherboard.

No it is running at 16x. The card has a xfire chip on it that runs pci-e 2.0 then the mobo sees it as one card. You seem to have an issue here. You could try 8.11 to see if there is a difference.

i couldn't get the ati 8.12 drivers to install either. i get 20K in 06 so it is a little low. might be your ram 1G is kinda low for how beefy the system is. make sure CCC is set to balanced in starndard settings

whoops i dont know where i got that you had 1G of system ram, my bad.

You should check the PCI-E link width with the CPUZ. http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
