Piece of crap won't upload.. I've been trying an hour straight.=_=

CPU Ratio settings: 10x ( FSB/CPU )
FSB Freq - 200
PCIE Freq - 100
FSB Strap to NB - Auto
DRAM frequency - Auto OR
-667
-800
-goes on up
DRAM timing controls ( 5-5-5-15-3-44-5-3 )
DRAM Static Read Control
DRAM OC charger
Ai Clock Twister
Ai Transaction Booster.
-------
CPU Voltage
CPU GTL Voltage
CPU PLL Voltage ( o_O )
FSB Termination Voltage
DRAM Voltage
NB Voltage
SB Voltage
PCIE SATA Voltage
-----
Loadline calibration
CPU clock skew
NB clock skew
and then some spread spectrums that I disabled.

Most are on AUTO but I did change the things I tried, I don't see what else I can do with no divider o_O

Dram Frequency is your divider. Set the NB strap to auto, then set the Dram Frequency to the lowest setting (the lowest divider is exactly double your FSB speed). As you increase your FSB, you increase your ram speed...

You said the ram is "New"? Why did you buy 667Mhz ram? It's going to limit your over clocking unless the ram can take some extra voltage and be OCed higher?

I am not sure what your budget was for ram but, you can get a 4Gb kit for $45 or even less.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227269

Only $17.99 after MIR!!!!!!!!!!!

Or some 1066Mhz ram for $35 after MIR. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227298

I guess i'll look at it tomorrow..

Aparently the Asus P5Q-Pro has an assload of problems with RAM at any voltage!. It has to be my RAM, being that memtest works stock but OC makes it not even be able to load the OS. But the BIOS never doesn't POST..lol

I'm not sure though.. Because I had my divider at 433MHz or whatever when it was there ( the menu is dynamic for some reason ) and it still stays loading..

I'll switch positions and such and report back.

The Canadian equiv. of Newegg is NCIX, it seems much larger..lol.

I'll get the G.SKILL F2-8000 2x2GB DDR2-1000 for $58.05, if I can't get this to work. Does that sound good?

I forgot I could go above 667 so that's why I bought the ( $20 ._. 2Gb value RAM. )

Rejoice!!

!!! Memtest86 said nothing was wrong with it at all! even at higher overclocks like 3Ghz and I thought.. Why doesn't it work on Windows loading, but extensive testing..?

-increase NB voltage to 2.0v-

And there! It works : D : D D::: D: :

Edit: So I get about 45/47c- MAX with orthos. Cool, eh?

That's a LOT of voltage for the northbridge. Are you trying to fry eggs?

OP, I run 1.26v to the NB for a 380 FSB with a Q6600. The die shrink on the P45 chipset means that anything over 1.35v is considered high (the default is 1.10v!). I'm afraid your board is going to go out on you before you read this post... I'm PMing you as well.

Guys i'm really sorry >_>

I meant 2.0v on the DRAM, and 1.8? I forgot but it was JUST in the yellow 'performance' zown.. something like +0.3/4.

No worries! xD!

3.8GHz won't post and anything above 3.2 gives a hang. So with the new DDR1066 RAM I'm getting i'll be able to get to 3.6 atleast.. so no worries about the new processor!

But thanks for worrying guys

Overvolting RAM can be risky especially without proper cooling and on budget dimms. For the new kit you picked up try running them at the manufacture recommended voltages, usually there's a fair amount of overclocking overhead.
