Ok well... big deal. Not like anyone runs 6ghz on ln2 24/7. I care if it can hit 4.0 on air though, thatd be awesome.

It doesn't really matter to us. Unless people plan on running LN2 24/7.

In time my friend. Didn't intel promise a 7ghz + core i7 @ CES?

And how much is that i7 going to cost especially if AMD's Phenom II isn't as successful as they hope it will be?

For the guy talking about intel supposedly showing off a 7ghz quad at ces
I also seem to remember an article posted on here where they suggest they will disable things on the cpu to do so aswell, and it will be cherry picked from a potential pool of 100,000

which is not as impressive imo as an engineering sample on a brand new 45nm process for amd being crysis stable at 6.3 considering intel has been at 45nm for ages and have always been awesome overclocking chips

Not to mention that intel has way more processors to cherry pick from, i highly doubt there is even 50,000 phenom ii 940's produced yet!

Give amd some time to optimize their 45nm process like intel have and it'd probably be possible to hit 7 too

Err guys.... Tomshardware sucks.
They also said that the iCore7 can't OC.

Then they retracted their comments. I really don't like those guys.
