hey guys i ordered these parts for my new pc and i want to know whether my power supply Corsair VX550W is enough for this heres the specs

CPU: Core 2 Quad Q9550 @2.8
M/Board: Gigabyte EP45-UD3R
Graphics: Gigabyte (GV-N98XPZL-1GH) Geforce 9800GTX+ 1GB
RAM: OCZ Fatal1ty 4GB (2x2gb) DDR2800
HDD: Western Digital 500GB SATA2
Drive: Sony SATA DVD Burner
Power Supply: Corsair VX550W

If you want to futureproof yourself for SLI get the PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750W. Quiet and powerful, the best PSU IMO

the HX1000 would be better imo

to OP: yea plenty enough. Just wondering why did you get the 9800GTX+ 1Gb. You do know that you could have paid $40-50 less and get a HD4850 with similar performance or added $30 for a GTX260.

Why would a 1000w @ 80amp psu be a better choice for that setup?

You should have enough, but 750w is typically the "sweet spot" because it allows you for a couple upgrades and such. 1000w and higher is future proof imo.

yes it is good enough!
but the 750TX would be better if your planning a future GPU upgrade
