STEAM making me angry! - Page 2

Check your IE settings. Make sure nothing changed. Steam uses a older version of IE for some of it's settings.

Kind of harsh, ouch. ..... perhaps the original post was a little vague but it still got the point across (at least I got it) and the new post is very thorough and easy.

I had some similar issues myself with Steam. Hope this doesn't occur again either Roddimus.

Did you ever get an email Verification or Account Receipt?

I printed off a receipt (one of the 2 it offers you to print out) and I got verification to my e-mail of the password being changed.

edit: My IE and Flash are also up to date (though I did update Flash while in Steam).

Okay with the clearer OP I think I know what was going on

With regards to the account missing or whatever it was, It was possible that the services you tried to use (being steam profile and email check system) were not in sync at the time....

What I mean by this was that when you created your profile, there might be a delay for when steam updates all other applications with your account details (an application example would be "password recovery")

As for your flash not working, try making sure Flash is installed and working on IE and your default browser. You may need to reboot your computer after this is done

Oh and +rep for rewording your OP like I asked and not freaking out on me It was so much easier to understand what you asked now

I meant to check your Internet Settings in Internet Explorer to make sure that nothing was set up too heavy on security.

The forum login is not the same as Steam login.

That's not what I meant - I was saying you were so vague it was hard to tell what your problem really was.

Or well, I guess it's okay, but I shouldn't have to really concentrate to read a post (because it was vague and badly formatted) >_>

Well, it is not the case now, but I meant to be sarcastic about the situation......
