Thanks for all the input guys! I ordered the 750i FTW and G.Skill memory from Newegg today so I can cash in on that mail in rebate on the mobo. Can't wait to get this bad boy up and running. This is gonna be awesome!

I'm actually going to aim for the 4gHz mark, since I see reports of people hitting that routinely. But we'll see what happens.

Nice choice in motherboard and ram. I would seriously look into upgrading those 7800 GTX's though.

One 8800GTS 512Mb can out do those cards in SLI without even breathing hard.

You might be able to get $50-$$60 each on Ebay and replace them with a 9800Gt for about $120 or a 9800GTX for about $150. You would see a huge improvement over those old GPU's.

you can hit 3.6ghz with stock volts probably. 4.0ghz will take some tweaking of volts some, but should be attainable.

Yeah I hear ya. I wasn't saying that I don't have any plans to upgrade in the future. Just for right now, i'm lucky that i'm able to barely squeeze out the funds to pick up the cpu/mobo/mem since i've become yet another victim of our wonderful economy and just got laid off yesterday.

I'd LOVE to also pick up an Antec 900 case to cram all this crap in to if I could find a good deal on one. Some water cooling is also in the works, but again... all this boils down to $$$.

One last question for you FTW users... do you think my Silverstone 650w PSU will be enough to run what I have?

I hear you. Money is always a big problem for me as well. Sorry to hear you were laid off.

If I had the funds I would have a new 4850x2 sitting in my rig right now!

That Silverstone will do the trick.
