[GS]360/PS3/PC Comparison - Page 2

I thought the PC was a little weak, I thought It would blow the 360/PS3 out of the water wich for me it did not do.

I thought the 360 Version of Fallout 3 for both PS3 and PC were both under done when it comes to texture and shader quality. The PC version of fallout 3 had better AA,RES, And better water effects.

But over all in Fallout 3 I think the 360 version of the game looks the best with higher texturs and shader quality when compared to both PS3 and PC.

Dead space was best on PC IMHO, The PS3 version looks a little better than the 360 version when it comes to shading and some textures, The 360 version looks a little washed out, Sence I have Dead Space for PS3 I know that something was wrong when they took the pic with the shadow accrost his back and it was all mest-up, It must have been a glich or something. As I put that pic to the test when the comparision was first released.

Call fo duty does looks better on the PC but PC just didn't blow my mind.

Over all I think it's kinda lame that they took a 1500-2000$ PC (that is if the avarage person were to buy the PC from say Dell or Compaq) And the only things it could really offer is better AA, And a higher RES. I think it's kinda clear and cut that the 360 version of Fallout 3 has better textures and more shader detail than PC and PS3.

For this test I think:

PC= Higher RES, AA, and about the same texture quality as console games, But at a much higher price.

I thought this test showed not only how much better PC is than consoles but the value of consoles as they offer great quality even when compared to a 1500$ PC of the current hardware GEN.

Now if they were to compare the 360 and PS3 to a PC built with the best GPU and CPU back in 2006 I think the test would have been even closer. And the consoles would shine as an even better value, As compared to a high end gaming PC.

I guess I don't see the purpose of the comparison - other than to give PC gamers a hardon over nothing. Anyone that doesn't think a current, high-end PC will have better "graphics" than a two year old console needs to have their head examined. It's common sense.
Hahahah definitely true.

Is it me of did the majority of the PS3 shots seem too dark, in fact every shot was basically PC with the brightest lighting, followed by 360, then the PS3 shots all just seemed really dark.. what's up with that?

As far as gaming goes I enjoy my PC, as well as my 360.. some genres I prefer on the PC, some on the 360, it's also fun to play on when friends come over.. can't really do that with my computer.

Yea I noticed the brightness thing as well. Seems really odd.

In complete honesty this makes me respect consoles a little more. Alright the GTA4 comparison was a no-brainer but the others were very close. If you're to the point where you're looking the screens with a microscope to try and define subtle differences the battle has already been lost. Not to mention very close when comparing a well-equipped PC and a two year old console. Back in the day the PC used to blow the console completely out of the water but this article tells me that gap has narrowed considerably.

This is kind of a silly comparison if you ask me.
Yeah, I thought the PC they used to compare games was unfair to say the least. For $500 you can have a E5200+9600GSO rig that wouldn't be a complete push over and would offer more capability than a console. I rarely even play my 360 anymore, it's just gathering dust now, I'd rather play games on my computer.

Yes, but Fallout 3 and Dead Space were multiplatform games that were released at the same time as their pc counterparts. The developers are going to spend more time refining the console versions as the number of hardcore gamers on consoles are higher than those on PC.

GTA4 on the other hand had an extra half year of refinement and in the comparison it shows.

I still prefer the PC over my PS3 mainly because I'm a WSAD/mouse-lover. There's one thing I really like about consoles though: less fuss. It's nice just to pop the game in and play without having to mess with drivers, multi-gpu problems, etc. Sure console games still get pushed out the door with problems but they are easily patched nowadays. I've always wondered what it would be like of everyone out there had the same core system (i.e. P45, 4870, Q6600, etc.)

Don't get me wrong I love my PC but I'm just pointing out that I can see why consoles appeal more to other, lesser-knowing, non-OCN-forgoing people.

So.... PC>360>PS3?

Especially in Fallout 3. God, the PS3 version sucks. I dislike that stupid thing with GTAIV on the 360, I think I'll rebuy that game for the PC. And dear god, did someone shoot the shadows person on the PS3 copy of Dead Space? :BARF:

Looking at the GTA4 comparison I'm sure you can all see why I couldn't even finish the game. It looks like absolute **** on the consoles!

Hopefully Rockstar will fix the PC version.
