I have never owned a MATX board, and I think I lot of people who are likely to post on this thread won't have either . However, i think I read about a person achieving a 500 fsb overclock with a dual core on this board, and it supports a lot of RAM and PCIE 2.0 as well, making it a solid choice. Going MATX here won't loose you a lot of features like with other mobos.

I used a EVGA 112-CK-NF71-TR to build my in laws PC and it worked out great.

It did not like Crucial Ballistic memory but, ran Corsair XMS2 just fine.

I built that PC about a year ago so there are better boards out now.

That Asus even though it's out of your price range would be a excellent choice.

Or even the the GA-G31M-ES2L.
