Who has their Q6600 @ 4ghz?

I'm looking for what settings people have as i can't really get stable over 3.7ghz (1.46v). I doubt it's Vcore as it won't do 3.8ghz even on 1.5v. I can get into Windows but it fails Prime.

What BIOS settings do you guys run, i'm especially interested in those with a P5Q. Oh, my chip has a 1.25v VID.

Cheers

1.42v on the NB
1.65PLL
1.6VTT

1.62 CPU

Are your temps ok? Just making sure.

the vcore doesnt scale that well as you get past 1.45v. I have a Q6700 with a 1.225v vid that can run 3.8GHz with only 1.44v. But it needs 1.512v to run 3.9GHz prime95 stable.

447*9 Q6600 on X48 [1.312 VID]

1.58v- NB
1.30v - FSB
1.60v- CPU

GTLv @ +67% both cores

..highest stable so far on my 780i is ~3.87ghz

Jeez... what are your temps and VID? Even with my watercooling, i suspect 1.6v would be too hot

Is PLL very important to stability? What about FSB termination etc?
You should only need about 1.54v PLL and 1.4v FSB termination voltage (VTT). You might need about 1.35v-1.4v to the NB. I wouldnt go over 1.4v with the P45. It doesnt need as much voltage as the X38/X48 or P35 because of the die shrink.

I got mine to do 4Ghz@1.45V but I was doing like 50C idle with my Xigmatek so I'm not gonna try stress testing it until I get my water cooling built in. I noticed adding GTL Voltage really helped stabilize my OC.

Okay, i'll try those settings and report back. I shouldn't need over 1.5v though for 3.8ghz i hope...

hmmm... I have the following GTL references voltages. They seem right?

CPU GTL Voltage Reference (0/2): 0.630
CPU GTL Voltage Reference (1/3): 0.670
NB GTL Voltage: 0.630
