ASUS PC Probe II yelling at me

Thread Starter
I just got my ASUS M3A79-T and put it in my comp with my 9950 BE two days ago. Everything was fine when I first booted up, but now PC Probe II is yelling at me saying my MB temps are too high. Is 45C too high? Everything is at stock except for my graphics card, but that shouldn't affect anything right?

Probably just a faulty reading from the nb sensor. Had msi dualcore yelling at me once because it read -3.2 Ghz on my cpu.
Check mobo temps in your bios, they are more accurate then software based readings in this case.

I had the same thing happen to me with PC Probe II. It's nice to be able to get all the information right there in Windows but it does seem to have its inaccuracies. A few times I noticed different voltage values would drop to 0.00 (impossible) which would sound the alarm.

I checked in the BIOS and it said it was at 42C. I booted up and PC Probe read 42C. I was only running F@H (cpu and gpu) before when it said 45C.
Is 45C something to be concerned about though?

*EDIT* Within 4 minutes of posting my MB temps rose to back to 45C

Asus boards have a strange tendency to run warm, my old M2A MVP has been at topping off at 48-49C for about 9 months, nothing to get too worried about, though if it bothers you you could try jimmy-rigging a fan to the giant heatsink your copper pipes lead to.
