I think after OCing the 55nm would pass a stock GTX280 and produce less heat still. Although an OCed GTX280 would be faster, but produce a good deal more heat.
I got my EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 the day before thansgiving for $229.99 US at NewEgg, no MIR, and free shipping, Capitalism FTW

Next time buy a case without a window.
Anyhow who cares what it looks like, what's important is how it performs

I think the prices are pretty good too, considering it's cheaper than a normal 216 right now, I payed £211 for mine a couple of months back and that was the cheapest I could find, they went UP in price shortly after. How much do you think a normal 216 will drop in price when these are finally in stock and selling? I don't think it will be any less than £180 and that's if we're lucky..

I'm glad Nvidia will be releasing the G200b 55nm chip finally but are they really going to call the 55nm GTX260 the GTX260. Three different cards with the GTX260 name is just ridiculous. Isn't the 55nm GTX280 going to be called the GTX285. Why wouldn't Nvidia do the same with the GTX260 (add a 5 to the name)? My only guess is that the 55nm GTX260 won't have a clock speed increase (like the GTX285 will) but that still doesn't excuse three different GTX260s.
