Ok my system is gonna be running a q9550 that i will overclock and 1 hd4870 and a hd4870x2, any suggestions for a powersupply?

that much wattage is not needed . A good 900-1000 watt would do.

I thought tri-fire only worked with 3 4870s and that it wouldn't work with a 4870 and a 4870x2. Also, I second the Corsair but save some money and get it here: http://www.provantage.com/corsair-me...x~7CSMC068.htm

You could do with a good 850W. An OCed quad needs up to 200W and ~400W for the video cards.

No, you don't need a 900 watt. This PC Power&Cooling would be plenty, as would this Corsair. Keep in mind that a 4870 and 4870x2 might not fit well in your Xion case.

So, two 4870's then. A 750W is a good choice. Corsair tx750, Silencer 750 or the BFG 800 (or here) are the best bang for the buck.
