If you are only going to be powering two 4870s, a PC Power & COoling 750, Corsair 750, or Antec 850 would all be great choices and would allow for numerous upgrades.

GET THE BFG ONE. The finish of the psu resembles chrome. Best looking and working psu i've ever used.

I usually point people towards the BFG since it has been well priced recently, but the red Silencer (I don't know why it is cheaper than the other colors) is a steal at that price.

Corsair TX750W is your best bet.

No disrespect from above, but BFG power supplies are not reputable (check reviews on them).

BTW, a 4870 will work in xfire with a 4870X2. Grunion and I were both able to get it working (after much screwing about).

The PC Power & cooling 750w is also excellent but extremely loud (cooled with a single 80mm fan).

Seeing as the PC Power 750w is made by seasonic though, its build quality is excellent.

the corsair 750w is made I believe by CWT and has had excellent reviews.

What reviews have said that any of the new BFGs are not reputable (ES, LS, MX)? They have switched from using Topower and have some very nice PSUs now. The ES is one of the best ~800W PSUs you can buy and the LS/MX are great for people on a budget.

The Corsair is made by CWT (Tagan does not make PSUs but instead has Topower build their PSUs for them).

Yes its CWT, I amended my post.

The two BFG reviews I read both said the 800's were decent but not stellar. Also issues like extremely short cables and dual (loud) 80mm fans were noted.

The 800W with 80mm fans is the old model. The new one is called the ES-800 and is made by Andyson on a solid platform.

edit:
Here's the only comprehensive review on the ES-800 that I know of: http://hardocp.com/article.html?art=...hlbnRodXNpYXN0
