[Slashdot] Diskeeper Accused of Scientology Indoctrination

"Two ex-employees have sued Diskeeper Corporation in Los Angeles Superior Court after being fired, alleging that the company makes Scientology training a mandatory condition of employment (complaint, PDF). Diskeeper founder and CEO Craig Jensen is a high level, publicly avowed Scientologist who has given millions to his Church. Diskeeper's surprising response to the lawsuit (PDF) appears to be that religious instruction in a place of employment is protected by the First Amendment."

When discussing any religion it's always a touchy subject, the fact that this thread has had to be cleaned and locked attests to that. There are people who may not regard Scientology as a proper religion, but discussing any religion, be it Scientology, Christianity, Judasim, Sikhism, Islam, or any other belief, never goes well.

Nobody should be forced to take part in religious activities, especially those from a religion they are not associated with, when at work.

I'm leaving the opening post and source, so the information is still there to read. However, I have had to delete the rest of the responces as it seems that most people are incapable of keeping on the topic of the news. Basically, the thread degenerated into a discussion about religion, just like the previous one, which is not what the news is about.
